Light and fast? There are no cars that are light and fast. You obviously bought a motorcycle then.

Ariel Atom?
Caterham 7?
Lotus Elise?

All light and fast.

Though I have to go with the motorcycle comment as I believe the above cars have already been disgarded.

I reckon a caterham personally.
Although if it is an Elise let it be said I was the first person to suggest it!

They may all be fun to some degree, but none of them are light, and none of them are fast. What I mean is that appraisal is relative... If you had spent all of your time driving tanks then getting into a 20 year old XJ6 would feel like being in a light and fast vehicle. Oh never mind.

Just remember that the Aerial and Caterham have none of the advantages of a larger car, and none of the advantages of a smaller motorcycle. 100% compromised. Having previously worked at Hethel I can say with some degree of certainty that the Lotus, although slightly less compromised, is still very compromised, and it will be unreliable.

(IMHO) Surely the nicest combination would be a tubby 2 and a 1000cc motorcycle.

However, each to their own...

...Daveb; good luck with whatever you have bought.

(...and don't forget to buy shares in the AA or RAC!).
