Adiran Flux gripe...... just for your information

Post by Frustrated Pilot »

right 2 weeks ago i recieved a quote from tthe flux.

1. to insure me mow on a modified tubby. £2000. 0 ncb
2. to insure me in august on a modified tubby £3000 with 1 ncb )later revised to £1700 as they guy concirned had no idea. but supervisor did)

last week a c'nut reversed into me. my 2 might be a write off.

so i called the flux and told them my 2 could very well be written off can i have the quote paperwork for a std and modified tubby that im going to buy in a few weeks/ months time? they told me no chance....

"errm, how come a m8 of mine is insured with you. for a standard tubby, same situations as me 0 ncb for £1700.?"

"dont know, cant comment on that" (becoming rather rude) and refused to answer any more of my questions.

Ok all, how come each time i call up, even to find out info on the same quote i get different numbers EACH TIME???????????????

looks like they roll a dice....!!! lol dorset said they would insure me with 1 yr ncb on a modded tubby for £1200... well well well....

forgot to tell you....

if my 2 is written off they will ONLY insure me on an EXACT copy of my car....

N/A with all those mods...??? WTF??? where will i find that. they will NOT adjust the premium for a lesser modded car.

how strange???????

who here has insured their tubby as a uk car??? my advice dont do it...

the MAJOR ISSUES I had when I checked my paperwork and they didnt 'realise' a G-ltd was an import...

bad bad bad......

what do you expect?? Flux sends you enough forms for you to check the cars insured correctly. You should have pointed out your cars not a UK car or were you thinking fraud is a good way to save some cash

I found flux to pull quotes out of the air so to speak, they kept phoning me up saying the quote had changed. Also they quoted me for a N/A even though I said Turbo..........Wouldnt use this company again!

Keep ringing round mate, you will get it down if you keep trying!

Good luck.

I found them great.

I got a quote about 3 wks before it was due. Got a quote for £800. Phoned up day before renewal and it was still £800. Was insured a few mins later.

Then I get a letter from Tesco 'Thank you for renewing your insurance with Tesco'

Turns out they have an automatic renewal policy. Cheaky (':-

My personal experience with getting quotes from them is that they are utter rubbish. Yeah - i agree the quotes seem to be pulled out of the air and that their staff need to go on a customer service training day!!

steve b

you missed my point...

i told them

they still had 1/2 the info wrong....

my point being .. i phoned them... i filled in the paperwork...

and the investigated it to find out they were at fault...

initially they said i could never be insured on an n/a with 0 ncb

now they say i can be insured on a tubby with 0 ncb..

AND THE FOLLOWING DAY I CALL UP TO CHECK THIS AND GET IT POSTED THROUGH TO ME. THEY SAY I CANNOT...!!!! AND THE FIGURES CHANGE....!!

I JUST CALLED THEM UP AGAIN AND A DIFFERENT ADVISOR SAID I CAN BE INSURED ON A TUBBY WITH 0 NCB!!!!!!

WTF... CNUTS!!!! YOU BLOODY SAID NO THEN YES.. WHY NOT MAYBE..!!! FOR FCKS SAKE.!

mark my words.. renewal date.. and im in dorset.. (well they did quote the cheapest)

and for your info..... dorset use nig too... oh dear ..... sorrry flux.. lookes like you have fluxed up this time

thats really strange I have been with elephant then dorset and now flux.

Elephant were best by miles but then I had a claim with them and they ramped up renewal so went to dorset, then did and engine swap and the cancelled my policy as thats to big a modification for them, so then called flux and they said no probs fill in the forms and we'll get back to you, i did so aand they got back to me and said fine :-

Trackdays covered
Engineswap, exhaust, coilovers, split rims, strut braces, unichip declared

1 year ncb

Fully comp £1300
£250 excess

Adrian flux sucks , they wanted nearly £800 to drive the honda civic 100bhp just for a week while my mr2 turbo cost £950 to insure for how many months with Bell direct!!. When i asked for a qoute for my mr2 turbo with adrian they wanted £3000!

Adrin Flux are rubbish, I will be moving my insurance elsewhere next year :x They will charge you for any little amendment, for courtesy car hire, 30 quid for 3 days on a £500 1.1 Fiesta (direct line would never make a charge for either of these requests

steve b. how old are you?????

thats impossible ...!!!!1 the engine swap....!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ABSOLUTE SHOCK AND AMAZEMENT()))) i just cant believe it...! sorry

thats no where near what they quoted me for an engine swap..... as my 1 yr ncb comes up in august...

i would be a little wary thats all....... i have had 9 differnt quotes from flux so far... for 3 different options.

its just really poor...

](*,) thats all i feel like when i call them... they dont even seem to listen...

if they said the same figures for the swap as u have then i would go for it.

i REALLY want my car to have a tubby conversion as it would be the cheapest option... rather than repairing my sick 2 to sell then have to invest another £2k just to get 6k together for a rev 3 tubby. (25k miles on the clock)

but i asked the flux and they said £3k.. but leter when i enquited on a std tubby with alloys. again £3k. ??? ERRRMMMM???????? well of course i agreed to that.

mate,
the flux are sh£te!!!!
my girlfriend used to sort out there 'loans'!!
yeah thats right, if you pay monthly, you actually take on a loan!!!
you wont see it unless you read all through the terms and conditions!!
they sting loads of people when they want to cancel the insurance early, cos even though the insurance gets canceled, the loan don't cos that go's through a separate company(the one my girlfriend used to work for)
my advise is stay away,
i get mine through admiral, and have done for 4 years, they are really cheap, dont mind jap imports, young drivers, or modded cars \:D/
and they have brilliant customer service when you need to claim, with there help, i managed to get £2,500 compo when some muppet in a bimmer smashed into the rear of my 2, and they gave me a car while mine was getting fixed,
do it, give them a call, it'll be worth it, and if you do it on line, its even cheaper =D>
