Video sigs

Whats with all the video clip signatures these days. It gives me a headache and looks crap.

A sponsor logo or a pic of the users car is fair enough as long as its kept to a reasonable size, but video's...

...come on!

i have all sigs turned off, i just came on the board without signing in so it displays them OMG the board looks dreadful with all sigs i cannot believe how messy it looks with them.

They are small GIF files which are basically classed as Animation. I believe they can contain up to 20 frames..

Harry has them on his siggy..


Agreed they are a bit much and slow the forum down...

Charlotte Church and similar vids doesn't bother me tbh. Only big videos that slow the forum scrolling down annoy me.

Apart from that, they're really distracting. I don't know how many times I've tried to read one of Harry's posts and my eyes have been drawn away to see those daft wrestlers punching each other.

There is something about watching someone snap their neck that isn't right. Play it once, fair enough, but to put it on repeat is just wrong. Personally I don't want to see that sick xxxx.

I might just put severed body parts in my sig.

Agreed, can we ditch these stupid things, they look xxxx and it also means my laptop freezes up everytime those wrestlers flash up.

Its getting like the MR2OC.co.uk with lots of xxxx pointless animations and eye candy which just slow down the board and make using it impossible. I dont use the MR2OC any more for that very reason. Fed up with pages freezing due to crap animations.

As per forum rules:

No Signature Abuse: Signitures are a premium member benefit, and should be no greater than 460x60, and around 25Kb. Any larger and the moderation team will apply their judgement to remove it. Only a single image. Or 3 lines of text.

No Graphic Material: Of either a macabre or pornographic nature.

Bottom line, the site must be useable by those on dialup 'net connections ( approximately 15% of people who visit ) - hence the size limit on Avatars as per the Rules.

All need make sure their sigs etc are with in the limits.
