Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
After showing Milothius how it the roof clips into place yesterday, we realised that now I have fitted a strut brace from a T-Bar model, the sunroof has no storage space. Doh!
yeah the t-bars have the brace obivously because theres no need to make provision for a place to stow the roof but it makes you wonder if toyota deem it necessary to have a front brace fitted then do the sunroof models suffer as a result of not having one?

I think that the t-bars need the brace more due to not having the same rigidity of the sunroof models. That said i have sunroof car and i have fitted a strut brace. It does mean that i can't stow the sunroof, but i don't ever really take it out anyway.

A while back on ebay I noticed a strut brace made for the MKI with a moon roof that would still allow you to store the roof panel. After market item more than likely I suppose

Well i guess you could always get your own made up. I'm not interested in taking the sunroof out so it doesn't really bother me. The only time i might take the sunroof out is when i'm on track and then i'd just leave the sunroof in the pits.
