Tis a very nice looking car but a tad pricey for a rev3 really.

I reckon £5k max really.

Looks like a very nice car &i don't think it's that bad money really.

As for the windows, they won't be tinted pink, it's just the purple rear window showing thro, in fact, i love that car! \:D/ \:D/ =D>

I don't know if I'm right here, but it looks a lot like Shafster's old car . Maybe give him a shout and find out if it is, I'm sure he'll tell you a bit more about it if it is his old one .

Looks a very nice example. I agree, you get what you pay for. 18s and coilovers won't have been cheap.

Only way is to go and take a look and drive it.

Chances are you can get it down to near £5k, especially if you find some negative aspects...

If its a new import its unlikely to have any service history and so its not likely the garage will know when the dizzy and everything was changed last. You asked a lot of questions that are beyond an average trader's knowledge, although they should have been able to answer some questions with a bit more effort!

If you p/x you'll be losing out more unless you can fool these guys into thinking your's is worth more than it is. If you have Tax and MOT looming though its sometimes not a bad option, just see what's offered - obviously first thing is to look and test drive 8)

know what ur saying matey thought it was a bit rude not even trying to answer some of the questions, i mean its not hard to go and see what exhaust/filter/coilovers are on the car and id have thought that a garage that sells imports would at least have some idea of what there talking about, think i could get him to 5k and 3k for my rev1 but that would be if i brought the cash up and put it on the table.

I'd say that probably sounds far, £5k and £3k, not that I've seen either!!

The guys I bought mine from were pretty useless tbh, its what I expect... but its all about the car so go have a look first! Don't buy there and then though unless its 250 miles away like mine! Mind you I did look at it for about an hour, test drove it, went for lunch, looked at it again and went to them with a snagging list and got the price down from £8,200 to £7,400 \:D/

Is the car even in the country mate? have they confirmed it's actually in UK stock. Its just that the piccy does look a bit Japside plus ,as you say, how hard is it to look at exhausts and coilovers, unless it's in Japan/in a container on a ship.

just a thought.

Hold up, didnt you just smack Cliff's old car? :-k Why are you selling up mate. Did something get damaged when going backwards through a fence IIRC. ISTR your mate said it was little or no damage?

yeah got cliffs old car, chassie wise only the wheels got bent, body wise the bumper and front wing are damaged but hardly noticable, thinking bout keeping it now and putting mark edward engine and gearbox in her. other option was to sell the rev1 and buy a rev3 but i love my tubby too much

Asthetically, it looks the nuts mate.

My advice is, take a close look at the motor, check all the fluids, start it and have a good listen. Take it for a drive, and make sure it's all above board. As has already been mentioned, take a second pair of eyes along, that has experience with MR2's.

All in all though, if she's running as well as she looks, I'd say you're onto a winner there bud. I'd try it on though and offer around 5k first. Be rude not to :thumleft:

Believe me mate. 4k ain't going to get you 400+ bhp. Try doubling that as a starting point.
