Mica Blue Mk1 for sale

Post by Beaker »

Due to needing a car with a boot my Mk1 has got to go.
It is a good solid useable car, not a show winner but very nice and very good mechanically. It had a low milage API engine in it a couple of years ago and had the clutch, belts, and new radiator done at the same time. I had the back brakes overhauled last winter. I put a recon alternator on it aswell. it is fitted with bridgestone RE720's all round including the spare, all with plenty of tread (2 are quite new). I had the cooling system checked and refilled by toyota last winter. The only mods are a K and N in the engine bay and a Magnex exhaust. One rear arch has been done (very well) and the other is just starting to go, its not bad at moment but obviously will only get worse. There is no 5th gear problems and the windows and aerial work. It has the sunshade and I even got a new gear gaitor from toyota because the original was scruffy. Mileage is 138000 but the engine is now on 55000. I have all the bills for the any work done and every MOT. The current one runs untill may.
I know that this is a bad time to sell a car like this but its replacement arrived 2 weeks ago and I can not keep it as there is no room on the drive.
I will get some pics up soon - there are a couple in my garage on the site and the engine bay is as clean as in the pics.
I want £950 ono for the car.
Either pm me or you can call me on 07904 185 506. I am in Surrey 2mins from J8 of the M25
Oh and of course it has the lovely blue interior that is so popular on here!

I have added some more pictures to my garage as I have no idea how to get them to appear here. They show the rusty arch and you will see that it is not too bad at all.

a few questions;

is it a t-bar model? doesnt look like it from what i can tell it's the sunroof one?
do you know of any possible bits that may need to be done for the next mot?
have you had a lot of interest? i'm looking to buy an mr2, ideally mica blue and t-bar would be a bonus but need to get my current car ready to sell and then i'll be in a position to buy...i just dont want the right car to slip by! well you've got a nice big drive so would you be keeping it a bit if you dont get much interest? sounds daft sorry....

cheers :thumleft:

It is a sunroof version. The mot runs till may and I dont think it will need anything, but you never know. The car has been perfect whilst I have owned it. Unfortunatly it is in the way so it will be getting ebayed soon as my dads 5 cars together with my mothers Clio and my new Toyota the MR2 is making things a tad tight on the driveway!!! If you want any more info, feel free to call me on 07904 185 506

I have put my MR2 on ebay as it really does have to be sold. As you can see the price has dropped because it is in the way. Between my father and myself there are currently 8 cars on the driveway and in the garage at the house so as you can imagine it is a bit of a traffic jam at times!! You can just see its replacement though. I have kept to Toyota and gone for a Starlet Glanza Turbo jobbie. V quick but not the same round the bends

That actually doesnt look too bad for the price, too far for me though. good luck.
