[Mk2] [Turbo] What to buy next....?

Post by gordy.r »

So far ive got:

Turbo timer
Apexi Super Megaphone exhuast (though im interested in the 5zigen Pro Racer) :D
TB Development De-cat downpipe
Apexi Induction kit
Blitz BOV
Ultralight alloys

and am currently thinking about getting the Berk intercooler and a pair of uprated strut bars.

But can anyone advise on what i should be thinking about getting next..... as ive come to a complete brain fart and am not sure!

What sequence did other purchase parts in???

Thanks for the help guys.

I think the berk sounds like a good choice or an EBC if you havent got one already

i would probably get the intercooler just for better cooling for the charge. i suppose then you could get a hybrid turbo or something. it's upto you really, what do you want from the car.

What's your budget for this next part dude?

I'd probably be tempted to get the IC before the EBC or at the same time, just to be extra Durex safe before you're tempted to wack it up. You can use the gauge on the EBC or get a separate boost gauge too.

Other than that, what have you done suspension wise? I chose to sort this first - actually it wasn't entirely by choice, I had to save my sanity from knocks! Done coilovers with pillowball topmounts, strut bars, balljoints, full set poly bushes, and front links - rears need doing and that's pretty much it for me on that.

Next I'll be doing ebc and IC/CC like you're planning... oh and Ogura clutch and flywheel needs to be fitted. Just trying to give you ideas mate :D

intercooler or chargecooler but they can wait till after winter, as the standard ic wont need to work as hard

Discs on rev 3+ are fine performance wise, could upgrade pads though, agreed.

Why? What's wrong with oem? A waste of £80+ plus you'll have ill fitting leads - talking from experience...

Forgot to mention my suspension.... i know its been lowered (came like that from Japan) but unsure whats actually been done under there.

As for the EBC, im looking at getting the Power FC with the boost controller module to up the boost so shouldnt need an EBC.

Performance wise, id like to see 300bhp at the wheels.

cheers for the input though guys.

(ps- i know the Berk is only good for 330bhp at the fly so maybe thats as high as i will take it)
