IMG and URL don't work

Post by Leon. »

Well not for me anyway, and not for the last couple of months. Never had a problem before.

Whenever I try to post an image or url it doesn't work, unless addressing an image from photobucket. i.e. it just reads Image or address.

I'd say atm half the members seem to have this problem too.

Its doing my head in ](*,)

Any ideas guys?

Have you tried without the tags? I don't think you need them anymore

www.imoc.co.uk <<-- no tags

Leeroy,

That url for the garage is not an actual image..but a php file that ends up showing an image. Big difference. Normal images will work with the img tag. THe urls will work with no tag and short url's currently are broken till we upgrade php on the server.

...but if you want text other than the URL to appear in place of the URL then you still need the tags, like a URL anchor in HTML:

This link to the MR2 wiki is a good example though I underlined it for effect. If you want to do this then you need to have url=TheURLGoesHereDon'tYouKnow inside the square brackets and the text you want to have displayed in place of the URL between the URL opening and closing tags. Hope that makes sense! You can surround the text with any tags you want to modify its appearance and it will be displayed like that, which is how I underlined the tag description.
