[Mk2 NA] indicators flashing too fast

hey ho
my friend with a mk2 na import g limited indicators starting flashing too fast??
he has apparantly checked the bulbs
is there anything else that would cause this? flasher unit etc
if so where is the item in the car

The only thing that I can suggest would be to check the fuses. don't know which one it would be though

does his car have standard lights all round, as changing lighting for aftermarket types with lower comsumption bulbs will cause the flasher unit to read a miss match and give the bulb gone, quick flash output he is getting

cheers but it has worked fine with the bulbs it has in it
up untill now so still confused

if it helps i have a spare working flasher unit here if you want to have that to try, cost me two quid so post me a pre paid jiffy bag and i'll post it to you or you can pick it up if youre close by, jim
