Quotes of the century here JJ :D

turbo awaits a text message from me to spool up !

suddenly theres the thunderous noise of the Cerby and the almost cheap screaming hallow sound of the MR2

my turbo charger that needs a fiesta engine strapped to it to spool it !!

My favourite:
not really a number chaser

So thats why you straped on a humungous Turbo.... You know what I'm not a number chaser either. I think I'll go strap on that GT60R sitting in the garage at the moment ;)

Seriously mate,

Great read. Glad to see the 2 is getting some use. Can't wait to see it all mapped up. Whats your poison? (ecu) although I can kinda guess.

I swear I've read about your build for what seems like years now (people may say the same about mine too lol). From back when you were at TOTB. Really interested to see what it makes. Can't wait mate! 8)

Yup, driving a boring hatch back at the moment. I had quite a lot of debt to clear after my tubby turned crispy and I'd just bought my flat so I had to go with the sadly sensible option for a while.

I may come back ;)

Mate, I was out of IMOC for a few months while I was sorting out another engine :? but I missed you departure. You were there when I left and gone when I returned. What exactly happened with The Flying Chalkstick?

PM me if its a private issue as i really havent got a clue.

TVR have always inflated their figures by quite a bit, although the Cerbera is considered as the animal of the bunch. My Griff 'officially' has 340bhp and 340ft-lb but apparently a healthy car will actually produce around 275bhp and 300 or so ft-lb.
My car is due on a Dyno in a couple of weeks, so I'll see for myself how much the figures are bullshitted!

You will obviously be down a bit due to the age as im sure you are aware but are the new car figures really that out?

We will find out - the engine in my car is effectively brand new - the previous owner blew it up and had it rebuilt from the bottom up by the people that built them in the first place, TVR Power, at a cost of £6k - it's only just run in!
Apparently it does apply to new cars though....

I'm thinking of changing my rev3 for a cerbera in the new year. Probably a 4.2ltr (350hp, 0-100 9secs) rather than the 4.5ltr.

A properly driven cerbera would leave my mr2 that's for sure. But the main reason is I want a car with a decent interior and better long distance ability for trips to europe. Don't get me wrong, I dig my 2 and they're unbeatable at the money but after 8 years of driving jap sports cars I've had enough of naf plastic interiors and boy racer image.

A friend of mine just sold is 4.5 Red Rose (440 bhp).

After several trips to Europe, lots of trackdays... he said it was becoming a money pit. Bloody to much money.

He was very pleased with car. Loud, very fast, beautiful... But as he put it: "I grew out of it".

I think he bough a Marcos... but the 4.5 RR will remain in is memories...

Umm... And you're going to get a TVR? Famed for their build quality, reliability, and genteel image are they?
