sorry if this is the wrong forum, but i can't think which others might be more appropriate. thing is, many moons ago, i registered as splashnatz (my username on all the other forums etc. i use), then i lost my password, so eventually i re-reged as splash2. How would i go about getting my splashnatz tag back ? is this even possible ?

thanks for any help, and apologies if this is wrong place for this post.

Contact the moderators and ask them to change it - report this post with the clicky button and they should come running.......

In a situation like this a PM to a Committee member is always preferable to reporting posts.
We would like to keep the report post button there just for the inappropriate posts.

It's quicker and easier for a member to use my method though, not only do they avoid looking for the committee member details they also get a message to the entire audience rather than taking pot-luck that the one they pick is active :)

What's preferable and what works are often two different things ;)

My method still works just may take a little longer and I doubt that any name change is so important that it must be done right there and then!

It also saves all the Committee and all the Moderators getting an individual e-mail to their private e-mails to alert them to a reported post, logging on if necessary to deal with the problem and everyone having to check to see whats been done - from our viewpoint it ties up more time for all of us.

Thats is why we would prefer people simply to send a PM.

Or a mail to [email protected]

This will get it to those with the powers to effect the change.
