Stereo "hole"

Post by Slarty »

Picked my car up on sunday, and I'm now seriously needing to sort some music out as the Nur spec is driving me crazy lol.

The previous owner removed all the headunit etc (didn't bother me because I don't want a big set up) but it looks like he's also taken the "tray" kinda thing that was under the stereo.

All I have now is a gaping hole in the dash :? Just checked the online EPC and I think what I need is this..... 55521C, Cover stereo opening.

Can anyone confirm this please? :D Or is there an alternative? I've used the search function, but I couldn't find anything that was close to my query (Damn I'm useless with searches :? )

TIA :)

Believe it or not, the proper cubby hole from toyota is cheaper than the one from halfords.

I did try Toyota for one, and they wanted the chassis number as theres more than one.

Got a proper MR2 one from a breakers in the end for a few quid.

Thanks for all the replies folks, very much appreciated :)

Thing is, going to either Halfrauds or MrT fill me with dread

I'll pop into Halfrauds tomorrow, and see what they have on offer. That is of course, if I can find someone who has even the slightest idea of what they're talking about :)

Other than that, it's off to MrT with the EPC number, and see what turns up.

Thanks again :)

Ok, I managed to source an Autoleads tray type thingy, only to realise the brackets that hold the stereo / tray are missing too :| Hence my post in the "wanted" section.

Why is life never easy :?: :(
