Oil filter ?

Is somebody can tell me the best oil filter for my Turbo mr2 ?
I need also the EPC code of the stock oil filter !
is it the same than the 3sgte from the celica turbo ?

Its the same filter for the MK1 and MK2.

There are two, one is shorter than the other. I'd go for the longer one though either is okay.

I have replied on here many times about the best oil filter!
As far is i know and have read the Champion filter comes out about the best!
I must admit i am talking about mk1's rather than 2's.
For my car i will stick with Champion but i'm sure you will get some other advise about mk2's!!

1 Buy one along with required amount of oil
2 Fit it
3 Change oil
4 Forget about it
5 Drive 6000 miles
6 Goto 1

6000 is a sensible amount for most cars, most manufacturer schedules are actually around 10000.
The only things I've ever heard of with 3000 mile services are the stupid high power Evo's and Impreza's and other exotica. I've certainly never seen any literature that states the 3SGTE should have an oil change every 3000 miles.

6k is a good level for most modern turbocharged motors.

Nothing wrong with changing oil and filter (you do change both, right?) at 3000 mile intervals, just it costs you more, thats all.

yeah i change both as advised by people on here, only had 1 change so far since i had the engine put in so not too bad.

6000 miles!

I thought we had to change every 3000 ??? i do anyway

For an NA revs 1 & 2 the service interval is 6,000 miles.
NA revs 3, 4 & 5 is 9,000 miles.

I don't know about tubbies really, but am I right in thinking they'd should have oil changes halfway between their NA counterparts? so that'd be 3,000 & 4,500 miles?
