no 10's when i left. Xxxx managed an 11.2, slightly slower than he got last week. i got a 12.6, i just can't get it right at santa pod. mikejc got an 11.7 by the time we left, don't know if he did even better after. few other 2's running too. didn't see if the TRD ran. but there must of been nearly 10 mr2's running today.

i got 11.9 @ 123 mph but really really struggled with traction.

I desperately need some tires like mike's or even better sahid's

Interesting that i got the same terminal speed as sahid too....

I've been the pod today managed to get 6 runs in on the afternoon session - best time 13.4 secs ](*,) ](*,) wasnt too happy as ive gone quicker & expected to be quick as the temperature was cooler - loads and loads and loads of wheels spin didnt seem to matter what revs - what kind of revs do people launch at ??

nice to speak to a few of you - didnt see any of you guys run as i was always in the queue. did look like a good showing of mr2's .

btw had an encounter with a sensible pc on the way back - who instead of pulling me for going slightly over the limit on a quiet road pulled alongside on his bike and pointed at his speedo - and drove off . could have ruined a good day but didnt thankfully [-o< - nice to see theres some common sense still about . =D>

I really enjoyed today,it was good to catch up with a few other '2 owners also.
I never got to speak to you for one reason or another though Nath :(
I ran x2 12.7's today 112 and 113mph respectively.
Clutch slip on both runs in 2nd gear tho,i had to slip it like a mother b£tch to get boost early on.
jealous of these 11sec times!i need more practice lol.

Hey guys :)

It was nice to see some of the old faces along with having the chance to meet some new faces today ;)

Some decent times being made today, despite the levels of grip that have been mentioned ! I personally think that the bad grip was a combo of a couple of things...... first off the strip really did take a beating from all of the mischief that had taken place on the Saturday. I was also told by some one in the know that they only glued the surface in the morning and left it at that for the rest of the day due to it only being a rwyb and the last one of the year at that ! :( Add to that the cold conditions and there you have it..... a track with little grip lol ;)

I personally never managed to find the sweet spot in terms of launching :( I tried using what I had learned about the surface from having run at the Jap Show a few weeks back, where grip was simply amazing
Today however simply didn't even come close grip wise :( That being said thanks to experimenting with rpm V's gear changes we still managed a PB of 11.7 @ 121mph. Not too bad for a car built for the circuit, running pump fuel and road legal rubber :) I'm sure that with some drag radials, a decent launch and some race fuel low 11's could be on the cards with the current set up. A bigger turbo and the above may well see 10's

........we'll just have to see what those brains over at Rogue Motorsport can come up with to make this rocket even faster lol. watch this space regarding that one :)

nice one mike - great new PB
that car must have loads more up its sleeve, especially when you get decent grip.

i couldn't make it to pod, so will catch up with everyone next year.

I desperately need some better tyres than the Toyos/Eagle F1s on my car. ](*,) I wheel span in first, second, third...lol did some snaking up the track. Best I managed was another 13.1 with a 119mph terminal...the 60ft was 2.2 so room for improvement.

get some trackday tyres on it, or better still some mickey T's ... saying that i seem to get a 2.1 - 2.3 60 ft WHATEVER tyres i use. i will learn to launch, one day i'll see a sub 2 second 60ft ...

(wonder how long it'd take to walk 60 ft ? maybe i'd be quicker that way)

It's so frustrating, I have the terminals but bu88er all grip. Had a useful chat with Xxxx (11.2secs and big fat drag tyres :) ) and another with a drag chap on the day both of who gave me advice on tyres...the drag pro told me I was losing a second due to loss of grip. :) I will be back. :clown:

Didn't take many an still haveing trouble mastering the camera but heres a few. Sunset at the end of the day was amazin'.
As for the lack of traction Mike's right, they did only glue the surface in the morning at about 10 and left it at that for the rest of the day.
