Once my installation is complete am hoping for 200LB-FT at around 3700RPM and over 400LB-FT from 5000RPM all the way to 8500RPM, before it begins to drop off.

That should make it a real quick street car and a motorway monster too!

You'd be suprised what a well specced Garrett turbo is capable of with the right supporting mods, like a well flowed head, bigger valves, cams, well specced intake manifold and good mapping!

Well, the street's where it's being aimed at Muhsin, and I've got every confidence in both Andi and Dave Rowe to make sure it produces as much power & torque as early in the rev range as possible mate.

Can't wait now. =P~

Mushin what size valves are you using??

I have been reliably informed that the gen 3 motors have bigger valves than the gen 1 + 2 so maybe i wont need bigger valves again on my next motor build??

This is the only thing im not 100% clued up on it think :-k

Rubbish !! Valves are the same size. The valve stem on the rev 3's are longer though !

Just to add, the intake valves on the rev 3's are stainless steel too !

My experience of this is only as a result to ordering some genuine part rev 3 valves for a chap who had a rev 2 head ( He said it was a rev 3 till I saw the head ! ) The valves fitted without problems, but the stem top needed a little machining due to it being a little too long. :D

it was by a very well respected person on this board too!!!!!!

sarcasm,lol,so cheap.
Nath,me and a crowd (including my dad in his '68 Nova LOL) are going up on sunday,it would be good too see you.
I need someone to compare my turbo spec with yours, apparently mine's bigger (?) resulting (partly) in the ridiculous spool time.

Some impressive figures there. As a few have said laggy turbos aint a bad thing, you just have to adjust your diving style to suit.
Hopefully I should have mine over the 500 mark very soon.
Just an amazing experience when the turbo does spool and it lauches you to the horizon squirming about.
