It's a Toms style scoop for the MK1, very good quality actually. Not 100% sure on costings yet, but they will be *AROUND* £100-£140 I'd have thought.

Hi Toni,

I'll wait to confirm until the pricings are 100%, if that's ok. of course, not expecting you to put one aside until i decide, ifthey go, they go.

:(

OK Ken made me six scoops due to the interest - but here comes the bad news.

Apparently there is another seller of the scoops on ebay (who have copied him basically) and he is entering into litigation with them over it, and his legal advice is not to post out any more scoops until the matter is settled...he is hoping it won't take too long.

Bum!

I've seen those scoops on ebay and was tempted until I saw a write-up for them on the US mr2oc. The build quality is rubbish according to the guys there, hope Ken kicks their ar$e!

Yeah apparently that is the issue, it's a very poor copy at that.

I've got my original scoop from Ken from last year, the quality is second to none, perfect fit and lovely finish. Even my (normally critical) engine builder was impressed.

It's a shame, he's made six for us, they are just sitting there...

Sorry to jump in but does this scoop come out on the roof like the toms or around the side?

Reason I ask is there is a tasty MK1 near me tha has one coming out round the side of the cabin rather than on the roof. It has TRD on it. Keep trying to catch the owner and ask him about it but the car never moves apart from every other weekend.

Around the side. Very snug!
It ain't TRD that's for sure.

I've got a finished scoop if anyone would like pictures of what, (with very little time) your finished product can look like? The finish isn't proffessional but adequate for me.

I think Toni meant that Ken has them made, but isn't sending them over the pond to us yet.

I did indeed - he's not taking legal action against me :!:

But against some guy who's copied him in the states.
