[Mk2 Turbo] Boosting Problem

Hi Guys

I was on my way to work this morning and noticed when I put my foot down the car wasnt boosting as normal. The boost gauge needle would only go 3/4's the way up the boost gauge instead of upto the +. The other thing was when I backed off the woootish was alot quieter than normal and I couldnt hear any waste gate chatter.

When stationary I rev'd the car up an you could hear the chatter straight away like normal but again the second you drive the car you cant hear the chatter and the boost seems restricted to 3/4's the way up the gauge in all gears.

Any ideas?

There's only one answer for this.

Check for error codes.

There is no error codes showing.

I have notice that the pipe off the re-circ dump valve no longer has the bung in there.

I have just taken the car for a run again and on take off still makes a humming noise then goes an sometimes it will hit full boost then is fine unless you slow down which it then restricts the boost but will occasionally hit full boost again.
