Wiper Arm Upgrades

Post by Rox40 »

Hi
Only recently got my 1991 MR2 T-Bar G-Ltd so still learning :? Does anyone know if the wiper arms can be upgraded from pin type (blades fitted by a pin) or where I can get new ones?
Any help appreciated :)

There is a company in mainland europe that do adapters that fit the new Bosch Aero blades. Can't think of the company though sorry.

If you look on MR2.nl or some other euro MR2 site, I'm sure they'll be posted on there. They're about 50 euro for the adapters if I remember correctly.

Hi, I not sure what you mean about the pin type.

If it's any help -

I bought my first MR2 a few months ago (a 1991 MR2 T-Bar G-Ltd) and it came with the blades screwed onto the arms (the standard for imports).
I needed new blades so my local motor factor's sold me a conversion kt for about £3. With this kit I could use 'standard' blades. Under £10 in total.

Hi
Standard import same as yours I think. Plastic end screws onto straight wiper arm and wiper blades fit on by a pin through plastic end on arm. (if that makes any sense! :? )

Thanks for that guys...I'll look into a conversion kit or adaptors for them as mine seem to keep popping out occasionally, even with new pins.
