how do i add a signature to my name

Click on the profile link at the top of this window 
(probably best if you 'Open link in new window' (or tab if you use a decent browser) so that you can still read these instructions).
Then, scroll to about half way down. At the bottom of the 'Profile Information' section is a large box you can enter text into, to the left of which is written "Signature:
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit"
So, just enter your signature into the right text box. You can use BBCode to add things like images. (BBCode is what is used when you write a message such as these ones on the forum, so use the same syntax)
