Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
Hello all. Lets say hypothetically that someone is going too fast on the M1 and a police car comes past with lights on but does not pull them over. Is there still a change of getting done (Ie a letter in the post?)
Cheers for any help?

Nope, don't worry about it, they obviously had more important things on thier mind..
I doubt it really, they would of pulled you...sorry...the hypothetical someone...if that was the case. How fast were you...sorry, done it again...the hypothetical someone...going then?
Its unlikely that you will have been done. They would have been obligated to pull you over and point out your dangerous driving. After all safety is paramount!
Next time use your mirrors!!
Nah you wont hear from them, consider it a warning from above. Do you know when this person spotted the flashing blue lights? was it a little too late? I can imagine the officer thinking as he's slowly overtaking "on another day my son i'll have yah".....
has the test car got a limiter then or was the experiment unsuccessful?
The test proved the car has a limiter on it. don't think i will bother removing it though, this person had slowed to 80 when the car with the flashing lights past but they would have been following me. ermm them for a about half a mile before. Don't know why I did not spot them sooner, the motorway was so so quite.
Well i hope you get done you wreckless twit!
Doing 80 - 90 is fair enough as but speeds of 140 + on a public road, twice the legal limit - you should be shot!

there is no excuse for speeding, however in a vage attempt to defend myself, I was only going 110 - 120, and there was only one other car on the whole 1 miles of motorway i traveled.

You sound jealous to me, i suspect because you don't have any decent roads in Moira, CO' Armah you can get a bit of speed going on..
What a shame you are such a righetous ars**ole who feels the need to make your opinion known.. and force nice people like me to point this reality out to you

roads are a bit straighter and wider here than in NI, he hurt no one and the police didn't think him 'dangerous' enough to even pull him over. Give the self richeous crap up.

Hmm, so this person managed to get up to 120mph on a 1 mile stretch of motorway, seeing only one other car and missing a car with flashing blue lights, before slowing down to 80 and getting off?
Sounds almost fairtale like!!
U think this is a laughing matter son? When you have had 1 cousin killed and 1 permanently brain damaged by a drunk driver doing 100+mph, it kinda changes your views on speeding!
So excuse me if i sound a little hostile but I am not the only person who has lost good friends due to mindless morons like your good self! [/quote]

Well i sincerely doubt he measured the Mile to the inch for a start, secondly had i been him I would have had my eyes firmly fixed on the road ahaed doing roughly 120mph if it was something i didn't do often.. but hey, if you don't have a car that can do it, I suppose it would sound like a fairytale... so hence it must be eh..
