Boot lid question (very important)

Post by Spittinflames »

Do the rev 2 and rev 3 have different layout's on the inside of the boot lid?

I really really need to know. or to put it another way would a rev 3 spoiler fit a rev 2 boot lid?

Yes the rev three bolt pattern is different so will not fit direct
rev three is a specific three bolt pattern

So rev 2 to 3 is different!

I THINK, physically the boot lids are exactly the same, you can stick a Rev 2 lid on a Rev 3 car and vice versa.

The spoiler is a different matter, I think the holes for the Rev 2 spoiler are in a different position to a Rev 3 spoiler, in which case some minor surgery would be required.

I am fairly sure that the holes left by the Rev 2 spoiler will be hidden with the Rev 3.........but dont hold a gun to my head on that one :-)

If I'd have known that was all you needed to know, I could have told you that LOL.

The rev 3 and rev 2 boot lid bolt patterns are completely different.

HTH

They would be visible as the rev 3 spoiler is only in contact with the boot lid at the ends of the spoiler.

The rev 1/2 boot has about 10 holes spanning the width of the boot lid.

no no maybe my wording was wrong.... Craig said that i may have trouble fitting the drift wing to a rev2 boot lid...... because its rev3 specfic.

I know theres different hole patterens but what i'm wondering is on the underside of the boot, is the layout different.... the metal structue.. like the second skin on the inside. If its the same through all revs then im not worried.
