Hi,

I've gone for a 1.8mm cometic head gasket on my rev1.

You need to remember that if you have US pistons - Arias or JE then the compression ratios that they quote are based on a 1.4mm gasket.

My JE pistons raise the comp ratio to 9.0:1 on a 1.4mm gasket. So a 1.8mm gasket will reduce it to just below 8.0:1.

Cheers,

Paul.

Hi,

I cant say really. I dont know much about the Arias pistons. I was going to go for some because of availability before I got my JE pistons and a very well informed chap called Chris Wilson told me that the Arias pistons are cheap badly machined rubbish! lol!!
