clamped! appeal or not?

Post by trd2000mr2 »

hi people, jus got clamped in londons notorious west end and am thinking to appeal, just need to know if i got a potential case, any advice appreciated!

basically it was in a residents bay but a single yellow line runs right the way through it. (free parking on single yellows). and the dashed white line indicating it was a residents bay was not visible where i was parked i.e. it was broken. it was an area of road that had been dug up previously and no-one bothered to repaint the white lines. hence why i failed to see it was a residents space.

jus wanted to know if i got a case and whether its worth appealing or not??

cheers for any advice!

If the line wasn't repainted then you should appeal - you shouldn't have been parked there but you should be able to get out of it. Lots of issues with lines not painted properly, Autoexpress did an article on it not so long ago and highlighted all kinds of stuff.

It wasn't Ealing was it? I hate non-residents parking in Ealing!
