Unfortunately no I didn't - ongoing issues with the manifold meant it didn't get finished in time. A group of us are hoping to go to the night drag RWYB before the end of the season though.

Mike's time is impressive as it was his normal road set-up. Get some fat tyres and race fuel/loose the seat weight which some of the other 11s cars are running and it'll be amazing!

Most of our members ended up there
The one good thing was on the way out I was nearly at the front of the queue and it only took me 10 mins to leave, LOL

Santa Pod are getting a grumpy message off me today, for fecking up the stand and causing me to smack my front splitter...(long story).

Well it was a god weekend all in all :)

Many many thanks to the guys at Rogue Motorsport for building me what can only be described as a MONSTER =D> Like Toni said this car has some serious potential once driver & car get to know each other a little better :) Some more practice with the launches, race fuel, drag radials and some lighter seats, (running the original uk spec full leather 30kgs monster at the mo lol) and we should see some much better times from the humble little 2 [-o<

A big thanks to everyone how showed their support on both Sat & Sun. Your kind words, enthusiasm and help with pushing the car in the que were very much appreciated =D>

Good time Mike!

Sure there is a load more to shave off that mate.

30kgs? Is that total or each seat?

Cheers mate. With any luck i'll get another couple of runs in this year and prove you right there :)

Regarding the seats...... to be honest i'm just quoting Toni on the weights and in all honesty i'm unsure if she ment each or both....Toni? To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it was each. They really are heavy buggers lol The drivers one even more so due to all of the extra adjustments that it has #-o I do have 2 Sparco Evo seats to go in but i've not had the time to get the subframes made up yet. But in all honesty the weight saved will be short lived because i've a roll cage to go in once they have been fitted lol Oh well, safety before anything else I guess ;)

Sounds good? You going totaly stripped out machine or you keeping the interior?

As much as weight saving does, I don't think I could put up with no interior. I guess useage has a lot to do with it though.

Stripping out interiors really is hard core for everyday usage!!

It's about 15kg per seat, definitely on a MK1 as I've weighed them - I suspect it is very similar for a MK2. Potential for a massive weight saving once you put in buckets and frames which would weigh less than say 8kg in total.

The mid-range on that car is a beauty to behold.

mikejc - maybe you could strip it for comp. days only ... a bit of extra work, but wouldn't compromise day-to-day comfort ! was this on the 3076, or are you still on a smaller turbo ?

To be honest I'm not too sure that I could be bothered in truth. I will of course pull those heavy monster leather seats out and remove things that can be done so with ease..... spare wheel, jack etc. But to be completely honest i'll be more than happy just to shave a little time off of that which I believe will be more than possible with some race fuel and a really good launch, possibly low 11's  Having said all of that i'm happy overall with the weekends performance, specially when you consider that the car has been built with circuit and fast road use in mind :D
