hey guys and galls just bought a 2 as a project for next summer she needs a paint and the engine has a rattle but she was free so i cant complain. i work in a bodyshop so the paint wont be a problem. need 2 get the engine out though have a lookie.be nice as this is my first post lol :D

was thinking about bike carbs and nitrous for the engine side?????. also what sort of money is in the turbo conversion i would do all the mechanical stuff myself??

thanks guys looking forward 2 getting it on the road im sure it has tha 150 ish bhp engine in when did the power go upto 174 on what revision or is it the same engine with diff ecu etc thanks.

The power went up from 158bhp (rev1/2) to 173 (rev3+) then back down to 168 bhp on the rev 5 cars.

wouldnt worry about it mate, believe it or not the rev1's with 158bhp are the quickest of the na's due to the lower down torque

theres not really a lot you can do unfortunately without spending more or less the same money it would cost for a tubby or v6 conversion
nitrous, although usefull on the drag strip would prove pretty expensive to use on a daily basis
for a turbo conversion you would need a rear clip (or parts from it) ie - engine/gearbox, driveshafts, ecu and loom or for a v6 conversion have a read of this

you can get a camry for the conversion, break it and even make a profit :shock:
