it's for servicing the lights (clean lens or change bulb, etc)

Ah, I see. Makes sense.

you may find that this annoys you when you have your sidelights on tho & you flash someone as they stay popped up. there is a mod where you cut the relay wire & fit a button switch, just do a search, it's on here somewhere!

This does annoy me - already! When it's wet I drive around with sidelights on, then I flash someone out of a junction and they stay up! Then I have to turn them off, and back onto sidelights for it to work. I think this makes me look like a bit of a pratt to whoever's passing by, but I guess this is just something I'll have to live with. If I start cutting wires I'll probably screw it up and break something! Overall, a small price to pay for the rest of the car.

THanks for the info,

Luke

Pretty sure I seen someone at a meet go under the bonnet and into the fusebox to stop the lights staying up after flashing with sidelights on.

its an easy mod tbh and just requires you to cut 1 connector leg. A switch connected to each side of the cut leg is advisable though otherwise you can't service or clean the lights without having dipped beam on.

It takes about 15 mins to do the lot.
