Yep, that is a new Toyota panel, but as for the time it takes to remove it, you best ask Paul Woods as he has working non stop for perfection for nearly 2 weeks, Jinxy

Tony,

would you mind posting any pictures of the refurb as it progresses? I'm probably going to get new 1/4 panels, skirts etc professionally fitted to mine (I'm a bit of a perfectionist really) and as a way of saving money I was considering doing all of the removal myself.

I want to make sure mine is done properly and that means following how others have had theirs done.

Well if you want my very honest opinion i would get Paul woods to do it, i live in Hertfordshire & he is in Durham i.e thats 275 miles away from me and i wouldnt trust my car to any other person, its taken him nearly 2 weeks to do due to the fact that he also had to replace a sill, but even so he has done this work before and it still took this time because its so involved, its certainly not something i would do unless ive done it before and ive got the right tools, the other thing is that once you start on a corner like that its very easy to get carried away when you see something else need doing, then something else, etc, then before long you have a full rebuild on your hands and no car to use for years, Jinxy

Well if Arundel is closer for some people I know a good mechanic there. When my engine went Durham was too far to be towed. I'm due a service soon, and as I dont know my service history i'm gonna have the car looked at properly. I'll tell him about the affiliate thing when i'm over there.

It may be closer Sadako but can they beat the workmanship of master Woods ? probably not, in my opinion Paul knows MK1's & 2's for that matter like the back of his hands & im always willing to take my car over 500 miles round trip to Pauls if i cant do the job myself because i know im not going to get some snotty nosed 16 year old trainee within miles of my car. Travelling wouldn't bother me to get the job done properly. However, like so many other people, the biggest problem is when the car isn't road legal and requires trailoring.

What sort of ball park figure is a 1/4 panel replacement ?
