mr2 double din

hi, im new , just bought a m plate blue mr2 and im just 18. ive got a bit of a problem. ive got the standard toyota cassette player and a black block which says toyota under it. but no cd player! ive seen Toyota MR2 double din cd and cassette player on ebay. will this fit on my car? any mods required to do this?
how does the dash come out to do this?
any help is appreciated.

I still have the double din head unit from my car sitting around. Cassette and and CD player. It's in perfect working order, make me an offer if you like :wink:

will it fit without any mods?

The double dine head unit is a direct fit. You will need to remove the centre console facia to gain access to the bracket that holds the double din head unit/single din head unit & blanking plate.

Remove the brackets and then the blanking panel from the brackets. Attatch the brackets to a double din head unit and refit 8)

If the wiring was butchered when the single din H/U was fitted, you might have a fun time trying to work out the wiring, but there are diagrams here:
