Got mint the other day.

Read most of it last night.

1st thought on opening the envelope is taht it is too thin for a mag that costs almost £4 an issue.

Other then that, it is good. I expect it'll get a lot better, early days yet.

I guess you'll need to start going to all these meets to cover them.

I suppose half the enjoymentis that you know/know of the people that are featured/you are reading about in the mag.

Top stuff.

Thumbs up from me.

Thanks for that,

Not bad for our first issue, got lots of meets covered for issue, two, its going to grow in size each issue, looking to be at least 84 pages next time if not more, obviously with subs, they stay unchanged even though the mag grows!

I'll tell you what, its very well put together for a first edition. Cover quality is good as are the content pages too.

Not read the thing yet but will get round to that over the weekend.

Really chuffed there is a dedicated mag for 2 owners as I'd thought there should be one after reading ScoobyMag last year.

Keep it up lads!

Cheers Rikki!

When we went to Buxton Press last Friday afternoon, we went to the board room there and seeing the it as a printed magazine was a proud moment, and all involved have done us proud!

Two recommends we definetely are going to do, is (boring print mogul talk)
taking the cover up to a 200gsm weight ( bit more substantial) and not for issue two cos of the pull out calendar, but issue three will go to perfect bound, (no staples) we stapled issue one to keep costs down

Perfect bound is usually recommended for titles with pagination of over 100 pages as it can make a mag look quite thin. Cover thickness was fairly good but I can see why you'd like to increase it. The gloss was also very nice, Scooby Mag used a satin/matt finish and it always looks better with gloss. :)

in future issues, would it be possible to have the centre pages as a pull out poster with high quality pic?

Doh, thats what I forgot to mention in my last post. That would be a killer idea but you loose that ability with perfect bound processing as each page is lodged in a spine and isnt just a double sheet folded with a staple.

Yeah a pull out poster is the way for the future! thats why we ran the Fazio story in the centre as it kind of lended itsel that way, looked cool with the photoshopped engine bay showing!

Issue two will still be stapled as its going to have a 12 page calender pull out, I think perfect binding looks good, but we would loose the pull out ability, see how the pagination grows I guess, issue two is at least 84 pages, and depending on advertising, possibly more!

Got a few little MR2 Only Magazine window stickers to give away.

Receiving some excellent MR2s and some outstanding photography, for our pull out calender in the next issue, take a look! www.mr2only.com email any pics you have to [email protected]

The difficulty will be choosing 12, we are going to work out some sort of voting system at the end of this month, so we dont have to choose!

Steve =D>

Went to the MR2 Challenge at Snetterton this weekend and had a quick scan through one of the drivers MR2Only magazine.

What can I say? Absolutely excellent, looks really really professional. :D

Will be ordering mine tomorrow.

Best of luck with it, I think you've made a fantastic start.

Thanks for that! Glad you got to see one, and enjoyed it!

Believe that Pete of Alex News in Norwich was cleared out of MR2 Only Magazine yesterday before the Snetterton race meet! :D

Can only get bigger and better, been lots of postitive comments and even more quality contribtions, articles and features for the next few issues, since enthusiasts have read the first one.
