Lost my MR2

Post by Pete »

Hi All

I haven't posted on the new forums much as I sold my rev1 N/A recently (still have the MK1 though!!). I decided to go for a change as I wanted other things from my car, like 4 doors, a bit more pace etc..

So off i went and bought an Evo 3 for £7k and sold the mr2. But now i really wish i still had the 2!! I miss having the engine right behind my head roaring away with the roof off. The Evo is much faster and handles like it's on rails, which might sound fantastic, but it just doesn't have the charactor of my old 2.

So this is a plea to the new owner, hopefully you looked at the stickers on the car and joined this forum!! Please let me have her back!! It's a met green '91 G-limited. Reg - H5** JVM

If no luck with that, maybe i'll get a tubby or MK1 supercharger.

What should i do?

I'm looking!!! :D

When i'm looking though i just keep comparing cars with my old 2. I spent sooo much time and money getting it the way I wanted it, i must have been mad to sell.

I doubt anything but a met green g-limited will do!! Maybe a supercharger? :D

Is there any way I can find the new owner and as the Godfather said "Make him an offer he can't refuse"

Ahhhhh!!! Choices choices!!

Don't know whether to just sell the evo and use all the money to turn my mk1 into a supercharged /turbo'd fire breathing monster.

I want a reliable daily driver, but lots of fun too!!

I was thinking of buying an Evo before I got my rev4 tubby.
I know they're good and handle very well but they're boring, no rear end flick from a dab on the throttle.
As for being fast I've not had one keep with me, of course wet roads is another thing :(

Although I do plan to own one at some point so I totally understand you buying one Pete. May be when I get older and my reactions slow down :P .

Do you also have a mr2 Aidy? Or are you another evo owner looking for a 2?

I used to have one and, like you, sold it for the evo. Not looking to go back at the moment.
