my BM is having an engine swap at the moment so i missed the RR day and forgot to post up to tell everyone!

Hi Guys,
Had a call on Friday about this meet, looks great!! hoping to make the drive down, will be a double wammy, make a great photo feature for issue two of MR2 Only magazine due out end of November, and me and the missus get a tour around London, which we have been meaning to do for ages!

I will go through a small briefing when I start the convoy and will use my indidcators and going at low speeds when we get into the central area.
When we get to stop off points ill get out of my car to wave u lot in. Most of the traffic lights are at points where you can see the car ahead so we should know where to go. My number will be supplied in case any1s lost. I will be putting up a provisional map v soon. Im gonna try and get a few others 2 help me out on the route so we can have 2 or 3 leader cars to manage 10 each.
Each of the leader cars will have walkie talkies as well
I will put some signs up at some of the traffic lights on sunday morning hoping no 1 is gonna tear them down
Any more comments or questions please post them up cos im going to do the last few reruns this weekend.

London run at daytime? London is full of traffic during daytime on a sunday.

Anyway, the A406 has major roadworks so ppl goin from redbridge to ace, i advise not to take the a406.

Tate gallery fits max 25-30 cars if the gallery is closed, how are we gonna fit 60?
There is not enough space during the day in surrey quays to park 60cars close to another.

You should finish the run at millenium dome like all other clubs do it cuz there is space for like 500 cars parking nx to another at night.

Saturday night is the night to do a London Run.

TBH, your doing it on the wrong day, at the wrong time, in the wrong place. looking forward to it though.

Some fair points possibly but lets keep it positive! Too late to change it now anyway and most peeps are busy on a Saturday night. IMO Saturday night is worse for traffic in London anyway...

NEW UPDATE PLEASE READ 1st PAGE. I HAVE RECEIVED A REPLY FROM WESTMINSTER LONDON COUNCIL AND INSPECTOR FROM SCOTLAND YARD POLICE.


MR2-GT the whole point of the run is a relaxed cruise drive and a time to show off the cars, not a proper "RUN" if you know what I mean. If there is some good interest on this I might do another midnight run which takes it up a notch but this is just a taster and I want to gather the Londoners together.

If we get some good enough photos of this event, with famous London landlmarks in the background, this could be MR2 Only Magazine issue two's front cover! cant promise though as its a toss up between this and a quite radical feature car we have up our sleeve!
