HELP - Stereo problem

I have just purchased an OEM stereo to fit to my 1993 Rev 2 and have problem!

The connect I have in the car (appears standard Toyota) does not fit the plugs in the back of the stereo.

I attach photos!

the socket on the back of the stereo looks very much like the later revision connectors toyota use on thier land cruisers/avensis range, you sure the stereo is an mr2 one ?
