Well what a SUPERB day we had today, nice drive across the moors, lunch at probably one of the best pubs/carvery's we've been too and a good laugh in Whitby, followed by a lovely drive home.

Really enjoyed the day and the company....... think we are soooo lucky up North to have such a great bunch of like minded friends in this MR2 community.

Kev....... Gonna change your name to BMWKILLER ;-) and we'll say no more :-)

Great day,great lunch,great people.

Nice twist how the length of the route was in direct proportion to the size of the ladies bladders. :D

And even Tony couldn't manage a fish supper in Whitby.

I've been down wider footpaths than some of those backroads we were on today!

I see Tony still found some space to accomadate some alcoholic beverages.

Def need a couple more "run outs" before the weather sets in.

What more can be said. Fantastic grub, great company, good roads (even though I didnt get much of a chance to experience them) and a great laugh. By the way Kev, you have not told them about almost getting us pulled by the law on the way back. WARNING...When out with Leakie make sure your car is completely road legal cause he has this knack of attracting the police and getting producers.

I am not a police magnet

I would like to add wrong place wrong time

Yeah after Tony took the A19 south bound turn off we joined A19 N at a nice speed and a Focus panda car decides to plant itself in front of our mini convoy 70mph all the way

I think it was Tony's baseball cap on side ways like a disgruntled Run Dmc Fan that wound the police man up and his freshly stolen VW badge round his neck.

How are we ever going to get nice new sensible peeps to come along on our runs when they have come to the conclusion that

A) This is a dangerous sport
B) The police are permanently on our tail
C) We seem to be made up of 17 year old boy racers

Hi gang, just want to thank you ALL for a fantastic day. The drive was great, the meal was gorgeous and the company was THE BEST. Nobody could have been made to feel more welcome. As the new "Boy Racer" of the group I was well taken care of. Thanx again to Tony& Graeme for the much needed adjustment to my BOV, I'm now the noisiest car in shields, and to his missus who along with the rest of the girlz made me feel so welcome. Cheers also to the rest of the lads who gave me so much useful advice, and I'll be sure to be in contact with leaky about helping with my decat when I find one.
I''l hopefully be on the next ride, work allowing. Weekend workin's a bummer. I'm actively looking now to change to a weekday job now but not many out there. Hopefully see you all again soon.
Mark.
Ps. If you in shields and here a PSSSSSSSSSST, its probably me! lolD>
