Okay peeps, you can grab yourselves a bargain here. I'm selling my car as I'm moving to Australia and obviously won't be taking it with me.

The car is a 1992 GT-S T-Bar Turbo and is in very good condition, the car was imported into the country in January 2002 and the first owner was my best mate. He has spent all the money on the car whenever it was required without thought for cost. As such all receipts since it has been imported are available. I will edit this post when I have a minute to detail what they are and how much was spent.

I have owned the car for a few months and have spent some pennies on it myself as well, general spec is as follows:

As I'm an honest chap I will highlight the following small issues with car, I will take some pictures and post them up if I can, if not I can email them to people as required:

Small vertical dent approx 2" long approx (damn those bushes) in the centre of boot lid, still works perfectly fine - could do with another one for £50.

Touched up scratch on drivers side rear quarter panel, touch up isn't the best, and could be done again better. Can't see that costing more than £50-£70 to get sorted by a pro.

Now the good bit, I'm asking £2500 for the car, offers welcome, but don't be offended if I refuse

The car currently has a problem showing the knock sensor as on the diagnostic (although it isn't), 3S have looked at it and also confirmed it's not the ECU. They need the car back to sort it properly, so the car won't be available unit AFTER 3rd October which is the earliest 3S can fit me in.

OR

Alternatively, you can have a bash at sorting it yourself and take the car for £2100. Collection whenever you like. The car runs fine, but in safe mode due to the fault. This might only take 3S or yourself an hour to sort and you could save some serious pennies!! The discount I've given for this would allow you 10 hours work at 3S, an MR2 specialist, to sort the problem :-0

Im very intrested in this, the timing could be good as well as I need to sell my car first (should'nt take long courtesy of Ebay!).
If you could get the problem with the knock sensor sorted first then I'd really like to take a look at it. I live in Somerset (Salisbury area) so not far from you.

There has been a fair bit of interest, understandably, most people want to wait until the knock sensor problem is sorted.

Okay, car is now boosting and will sorted by the end of today, tomorrow at the latest.

For all those interested, you were right to hang on and not take it cheap. I don't know how much it's costing but it would be more thatn £400 discount I gave for taking it not working

The problem turned out to be the oil feed line to the turbo had carbonised and stop enough getting to the bearings. Consequently the turbo had seized and cam timing jumped 2 teeth.

So the spare turbo I had is now fitted to the car, meaning the car doesn't come with a spare turbo anymore (not a working one anyway!).

There were a few people interestd, so first person with £2500 takes it away

Just to add the recent repair work cost me £455. The old turbo will be supplied with the car but the exhaust side turbine blabe is missing as it was spat out the exhaust.

I also have £40 worth of Mobil 1 oil that will be supplied with the car, I bought 2 last time I changed the oil, and don't need this one yet.
