Enjoyed the day, good fun, (despite the killjoys at thew Travel Inn) but it made me think... :-k
We all turn up at these pubs etc and hardly anyone seemed to buy anything much. As people were bringing sandwiches and drinks anyway, would we be better avoiding them altogether and just going for clear empty carparks? More space, fewer killjoys.

Just an idea

Great day whatever though, I love that Brenzett Road 8)

I posted on the other thread but I'll say it again

Thanks Pete and whoever else organised today... had a great time letting her loose around Kent... and the car :D

Amazed as well that we kept together so well - apart from the classic map moment - again, good organisation.

Roll on the London run \:D/

Have to extend an apology to the guy in the M Reg Black MK2 that follwoed me (White MK1 with black roof and green wheels) when we got lost in the back lanes.

I was following Bry and a Red MK1 and I think we left you behind quite quickly, however as I didn't know where I was going I couldn't hand around too much for you to catch up.

I did try and wait at junctions but didn't want ot get lost either.

Other then that, was a good day, despite having to takea rather naughty turn of a roundabout after overshooting the entrance way - luckily no-one was coming so didn't have to do full circuit of roundabout.

Thanks again to Pete for organising the Kent run. Though I have to ask Pete, are you intending to do it in an MR2 at any point? Been twice now and first time you were in a Corsa and this time in a Golf..... LOL

i certainly learnt a bit more about my car doing that run.....
seeing the folks caining it around tight little bends made me more confident to do the same, and what do you know, the car stuck like glue to the road.......i hardly touched the break pedal all day!
had a few cool sideways moments out of junctions just for a laugh, all good fun.

Im the same mate. Didnt know how fast some of them bends could be taken. Maybe thats why I was left at the back

i mean i drive the car quite hard into the bends and on roundabouts (mr2lover can vouch for that, lol).....i think the fact of having someone infront of you on thin twisty roads means you know there isnt anything coming around alot of them blind bends, whiched added to the safety of attacking them at that speed.....i know for a fact i would have been alot slower if i was infront due to thinking the worst that could happen on the blind bends......

That sounds a little worrying but think I know what you mean. Just because someone is infront of you and they get round a blind corner ok doesn't mean you will - I never make that assumption!

The only corners you can truly cane it on are the ones you can see around, or any on a track!
