The car has a HKS F-con so will have to go to TDi or Owen Developments for mapping. Will let you know how it all goes.

Well a succesful day.

Managed 480 BHP @ 1.5 Bar of boost. Pip said the car has potential for more power looking at the graphs and a bit more boost.

At the wheels or at the fly wheel?

Also what kind of torque did it make?

To be honest if thats at the fly it seems a little low given the engines spec and turbo size. Having said that I would expect to see a lot more once the boost is increased. Why was it only mapped at 1.5bar....intake temps?

The map needs tweaking before more boost is run. Pip said it has potential on a good map. At the moment it is on a very safe map.

I understand. I was just trying to find out why the map wasn't taken any further really. Run out of time, intake temps, fueling issues etc?

Pip cannot map the HKS just yet. So it was just put onto the rollers to determine if it was running safely till I can get to a place where it can be mapped.

So the map is currently untouched since having been in the UK and you simply run it up as is, increasing the boost as you went whilst monitoring everything?

nearly 500bhp is impressive.

although looking at that torque curve it doesnt look very streetable. are you planning on using it on the road often or is it more a track toy?

must have one hell of a kick once that turbo kicks in.

Its not too bad on the roads. But will be using it as a weekend track toy. It is very brutal when the turbo spools but I havent had full throttle on the roads yet as it is very scary just feathering the throttle in.
