Having a white MR2 and a fair drive to the meet, I don't think I'll bother washing the '2 as she'll be filthy on arrival.*

* Actually a fat lie as I'll be frantically polishing her bumps and curves on the morning of the meet...

OK, the good news is that my car is knackered, so I cant go to work in Birmingham tomorrow after all, but the bad news is that the 2 is knackered so I cant go to the meet

Soz guys. If I manage to sort out these alternator/charging issues in the morning I'll come along, but it's not looking good #-o

Think I may have a dodgy alt AND dodgy wiring!

Holy dodgy wires batman!

I seem to have traced the problem down to an electrical short.

If I can replace the wire and bleed the coolant in the next couple of hours I'll see you there!

/me is off to B&Q

That was a really good meet. Top people, some nice MR2s, good location, topped off with mine and Ryan's 'excursion' blast (I've really got to sort that bloody clutch out). :D

Kev will be posting the links to the videos in a bit.

I think Gordy.R meant when we got back to MK after the drive at the end. I overtook you to have a go at that scoob, but got stuck in traffic so turned right to go back to the caldicot arms. Then you disappeared.

Nice to meet everyone realy good bunch of people, nice to see some MK1's this time to.

You should have all come out on the drive at the end, I know we lost one on the way round but after we got through Buckingham on our way to Winslow the roads were pretty empty.

Draven I need to teach you how to take roundabouts dude, you could have smashed that pretzel

Cant wait to see the pic's.

Sorry lads.. Went home.. My breaks are crap. They were starting to fail. :( The reason i wasn't taking round abouts decently is i don't trust my breaks at all.

I'm replacing the discs and pads and fluid and braided lines.

So hopefully she will stop properly.

Was getting a little hairy.. :(

I don't know when i'm doing the next one. I normally leave it a couple of months...

The problem is is now we are getting mighty close to winter.. Which means ICE on the road and as we know

MR2 + ICE + Roundabout = Well its not good news.

So that will probably be it for 2006..

I'll be putting my car away in a month or so anyway.. Especially when it starts getting much colder.

I'll plan the next one for march/may time next year. :D

But i'll have a think.. If there is another one this year it will be in a month. \:D/

whoos, not gona have ice for quite a few months yet.

The problem with winter meets is that it's cold and people don't want to stand around in a car park freezing their you know what's of.

Must admit my breaks were starting to fade a bit by the end, a most entertaining drive though if I do say so myself, probably took a few years of the cars life though. still

I know but still..

Not my breaks were fading from the second i left my house.. I think they are warped...

When i came into the Caldecotte car park. I put my foot right to the floor and got no breaking and a nice puff of smoke..
