Service Help...please!!

Post by sadga »

Hi All,

I need my car servicing, so i called the local garage (well the only one i know about anyway!) told them what my car was, that it was an import, they said oooh might not be able to get the parts for it! I said well I can supply the oil filter, oil, coolant etc..
he said we only supply and fit our own parts!!! but to call back today to find out for definate!! blimey!!!

does anyone know/used anywhere in the birmingham/midlands area that are good and knowMR2's????

Thanks

I would defo steer clear of your local garage if theyre refusing to use your parts. Thats a sure sign that they will rip you off with thier overpriced stock. I always provide the parts needed for my car, it works out a lot cheaper that way.
Cant help you on any garages near you but i'm sure someone else will.

Why not DIY?

Its really not hard at all. You'll likely only be paying some monkey over the odds to do the kind of thing you could do yourself in a couple of hours tops.

Have to agree with Lauren on this one, DIY :)

Unless your wanting to keep a 'full service history' ?

I DIY some stuff between dealer services on mine. Bought a load of coolant recently, just waiting for the weather to improve a bit, it appears from what I've read that not many garages (mainly Toyota dealerships!!!) can't even manage a coolant flush on an MR2.
