[Mk2 Turbo] greddy intercooler and speedhut dials advice

Post by Rev3 Flex »

guys i know they are both unrelated (unless the dials increase bhp  ) but need some advice...

first of all i have rev3 tubby with scorpion exhaust otherwise standard running approx 249.8bhp (at the last RR)

what would be the estimated power increase if i had a greddy intercooler?, nothing else planned at the moment though. (going down the safe route of increasing cooling first)

also i was thinking of ordering some speedhut dials over the next few days, is there anything i should know before i do this? ie are they reliable for instance? I know a few fellow IMOC'ers have these so i am assuming they are upto scratch ( :?: )

cheers guys

greddy ic, maybe 5bhp....
its not a really a bhp adding tool, its a tool so you can run more boost, and make safer intake temps, this is what will give you the hp, not just strapping one of these on.
itll reduce lag a little, and feel better through the rev range, but power on its own, not much.

never heard anything bad to say about speedhut dials, just make sure you get the uk turbo dials (i know theres no such thing as an uk mr2 turbo), but uk is refering to RHD and turbo obviously turbo.

dont get me wrong, greddy ic very good mod (or any ic upgrade), you want intake temps low as possible, this will create more power....
safety tool essentially.
