Post by Baker »

Take a mongoose for an NA, 76mm exit pipes.

can u buy a 'tailpipe' add on which can fit over the exhaust, biggest ive ever really seen is maximum of 60mm.

bit bored with the small pipes that ive got.

Hi,
I got a powerflo exhaust system fitted for £260. Looks the business and has a lifetime gaurantee. Well worth it if you can spare the cash.

Ive not seen a good powerflow system yet. Ive seen a couple that have come off cars and they have been rusty as with poor welding. Ive heard nothing but bad reports about powerflow. Is the quality of yours any good? Have you had any proven power gains from your powerflow?

An exhaust fabricator like powerflow or Ascar can cut off you existing tailpipes and weld on bigger ones!

that would be good. 3" is too small.

but as for the exhaust, sounds a good idea, spose i could go as big as i like!

Hayward and Scott mate, try them.

Many here have recommended them in the past!

So far Ive had no problems. As far as power gains goes, I have'nt noticed a major difference and its hard to tell as the exauhst is louder.
A friend of mine has had his powerflow for 2 years and theres no rust on it whatsoever and we have had the car up on ramps to check. The only thing I have noticed is were the heat has turned the steel a copperish colour just by each pipe.
Also as far as I know a new standard exhaust for an MR2 is pretty pricey anyway (around £200) so it makes sense if your existing exhaust needs replacing.
Im also hoping that the lifetime guarantee that powerflo give you is actually worth the paper its on! Im sure it will be. If I get any problems with mine Ill post them up.
Cheers!
