Believe me, its a bloody mine field!!

I've just got back from looking at yet another lemon, after being told how outstanding it was!

Be careful, all the cars I have seen so far have been thrashed/crashed/abused/poorly maintained and or a combination of all the aforementioned.

I think that buying off an enthusiast is definately a wise move F*ck E bay!
Its full of nob heads.

Make sure that you have some mechanical knowledge or take a friend who knows about cars to have a look with you.

Post any you see up here for members advice, everyone here seems friendly and willing to help.

Dont take too much notice of the advert that bigs the car up, take each one at face value regardless of claimed mileage.

Dont rush in and buy a lemon. Be patient!

My bestist advice is to get tha assistance of one of the more knowledgeable imocers (??) b4 buying. We can usually spot what has been tampered with and usually know why ! Remember that a lot of these cars were bought by wealthy japs as a weekend play thing to go to the track with - very low milage and shiny paint is no guarantee of a lightly used motor !

Good advice, that man!

Robbie - where in the Midlands are you? I'm sure there are enough IMOCers near you who would be glad to give you the once-over of their tubbies to show you what to look for.
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!
