Is it worth using G3/G10/Mer on a white car

Post by Jevansio »

Just been reading some threads on the above compounds to get that deep gloss finish and restore fading paintwork, but will it have just as much affect on a white car as it seems to have on other colours like red & black. It's just my car looks no different after Ive just washed it, compared to when I spend all day polishing it.

I know - frustrating, isn't it!

I bought one of those rotating polishers, and coupled with Autoglym polish, does make a nice finish to the paintwork. Just not as noticable as having a black car... :(
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

Yeah, I'm after one of those electrical polishers but I've got a feeling that after lashing out the money I'll use it once and chuck it to the back of the garage :)

I got some heavy duty TFR for mine. Got rid of all the nasty grey look. Polish it now with carnuba wax. They reckon it's for dark colour cars, but mine gleams after a good wax.
