Krista come along, we are a friendly bunch and it doesn't matter whether you are female or male as long as you are an MR2 driver! Its a good way to meet some local owners, gain some knowledge and gain some inspiration. You don't have to stay for all of it if you want to just pop down for an hour or so.

And we are not scary, granted we are all really ugly, but we are not scary!

No its not.
I live near Uckfield in East Sussex, its just an odd occurance that I run the Guildford meet and its 55 miles from my home!
Mineis instantly recognisable anyway as it has a black roof and a reasonably 8-[ loud exhaust.

Haha! Reasonably loud? It's obviously making you deaf!!! :)

Also, you don't have to be an MR2 driver I found last time around! I went to the last Guildford meet (my first club meet too) just to see if the MR2 was really the car I wanted and what good examples looked like. (As it turned out it really was what I wanted!)

But yeah, on the last meet there were a few people that only stuck around at the Halfords car park and didn't join us on the run to the pub...

Really looking forward to it now!

You were more then welcome mate, as you said you wanted to see some for yourself and get a ride in them before you committed to one.
Sorry, should have clarified my earlier post for people.
You do not need to be an MR2 owner to attend the meet, we don't mind anyone turning up if they are into the cars.
We do like to know who is attendingin advance and obviously if they're driving something Japanese its always good.
What we want to avoid is turning the meet into a general meet - i.e we want to keep the euroboxes away.

Yeah, sorry - I didn't word my post well either - I was really quite interested in the MR2 at the time and had already posted on this site more than once before the meet so it was really very likely I was going to get one anyway...

And I agree with turning up in something Japanese - even if mine wasn't quite fully Japanese... A Rover with a Honda engine - that counts doesn't it? :)

Righto, the pub we are planning to go to is the Chef & Brewer in Bookham.

Postcode for the place is KT23 3AA.

Usual time to leave for the pub is between 13.30 and 14.00 from the Halfrauds car park - takes about 15 - 20 minutes to get there.

Anyone coming along later wants a mobile number, please PM and I will supply you with mine.
