Cat & Fiddle meet/photo shoot tomorrow (SUN 13) 4pm

This Sunday 13th Aug at 2.30pm at the Cat & Fiddle pub, (or nearby) on the A537 Buxton - Macclesfield road, for a meet, a coke and then get some group photos, and some shots out along the road (Safely!!) for our driving roads feature for the first issue of the magazine. Quite a few local and other OC members interested, plus the guy with the mark one with 35 miles on it thats been all over the forums may trailer it over, for us all to see. There's a run organised for the cat n fiddle on the 20th already, not sure i could do both... You should have a word with hicks see if you can get him change the date of the one he's organising to this sunday.....

Yeah i know dave (Mrtwo) very nice chap.... theres quite a few of us from round the stoke area..... Hicks usually comes on line around 6ish.... would be good if we could have a nice big meet.

The thing is we dont just do a standing meet up there, we like to drive the cat a few times..

yes me too, I go up at weekends sometimes for an exhilerating drive, my office is in Leek, and I have a client in Buxton, cant help turning right onto the Cat and Fiddle and ending up in Macclesfield, slight de-tour to get back to Leek..lol!

Bit of a dilemma now, as just had a reply from some MR2OC members who can make it this Sunday, also the guy with the mk1 with only 35 mies on it is on about coming over with it on a trailer...

if it came together it could be a mega meet!

Hmmm weather looks alright too...... I'll probably end up coming.. the only other problem i can see is the time. The cat will be riddled with cars at that time so driving it with enjoyment will be out of the question... Needs to be driven later in the evening 6pm onwards.

If its just for a photoshoot and a chat then thats fine but the driving part needs to be done later IMO

I'm fine for coming to this one instead. But as said, it does get busy on the Cat. As I've found on more than one occassion. Although spittin is a speed demon. Scares the excrement outta me when u see this big hefty black two with a HKS grill steaming up behind you!!! Argh I could do with turbo power.

I take on board what you say about the road being busy, I will see what the others say about changing the time to say 4pm, then by the time we have all met, had a drink took some group pics etc, maybe the road will be a little quieter

Right oh, tomorrow it is, 4pm at the pub car park, looks like there could be around 8 of us, which would make a good photo shoot, along the road. Also our photo guy wouldnt be able to make next Sunday, Im going to try and make next week as well though, although I had planned to go the RS show at Donnington. Always nice to meet new owners!
