Copper Exhaust Bolts?

Post by karammander »

Hey while watchin sky tv today there was this program where they were using copper bolts for all the exhuast fixings, they said this because steel when heated and cooled has the tendency to seize. the program said that copper handles this well and makes removing in the futre easy? is this true and does anyone know if it would be suitable for tubby exhaust manifold and downpipe?

cheers karam

Pure copper will be much to soft, better of using stainless or Titainuim ones.
