My MK1 :D

Post by ENSMR2 »

Guys,

The other week I purchased this

Image

A black MK1. Sweet.

Needs a bit of a tidy up. Getting a replacement front wing of Jinxy at some point For obvious reasons
Image
LOL

Needs a bit of a clean but otherwise its in ok condish from what I can tell. Only a bit of rust on the rears. Will need a new front P/S wing eventually too.

Plan on restoring it to its former glory eventually.

Just need to get the engine running. Needs a Head gasket change. Calling on Malcolm and Chris ;)

This will be my daliy runner when theTubby gets built.

Then it'll get restored and I will argue with the other half re selling it.

She wants to keep it but I wanna sell it

Yes. It's not too bad. Front bumper is a bit dull. Going to wash it up and see how it turns out with the poorboys restoring stuff I bought.

No fuss as it'll be resprayed soon enough.

It's not as good looking as in the pics. May go over it with my restoring stuff. Picking up the wing on Monday from Jinxy, It's red so I'll do the best "hold in the air and spray it black" spray job I can

Got to get the head skimmed. Will be soon.

Once it is on though, The A-team will be called.

Lauren, Tuned 20V?? :-k

TBH a tuned AE86 like James is tempting me. I want to replace this MK1 eventually with one of those. My other half wants to keep this MK1 though.

We have put off the arguement for now. seems like we have an arguement booked

Go on Ens!

I'd kill for a mk1 as a daily driver at the mo, but i'm skint!

Think i might make an effort to get this Jag sold & see about getting one, but i'd be sooo tempted to mk1.5 it! gotta try & keep one car standard (thinking of bubble arching the Jag! Might even make me sell the Crapi if i got a mk1! hmmmm :-k

Like the black as well! =D>
476bhp & 415ft lb @ 1.9bar Magic by Ryan!
Gone, but never forgotten
Now with a mk1.5 & a NHB EP3

Nice one!

Not tempted with putting a 3SGTE in is not too appealing to me really.

We'll see how it plays out with a AE86 etc etc.

Yokohama A539s, those black circular things which stop the wheels scraping along the ground :)
