should be running around 0.7 bar = 10psi. Sounds like you are running safe mode OR have the VSV disconnected. how long have you had the car and have you altered anything?

nothings disconnected, only driven it 15 miles, bought it with the engine n box out, just been putting it all back together, taking bloody ages !!!

i'll do a ecu check and reset tomorrow, and if i dont get 0.7 then i'll investigate further.

Mine (Rev 2) was running only 7 psi or so. Checked error codes, T-VSV operation and the integrity of all the hoses from turbo through i/c to throttle body. It turned out to be leaking boost through a dirty and poorly installed BOV.

Took the BOV apart, cleaned all parts in Avgas and re-installed it with new o-rings. Fixed the boost problem but then ended-up with the usual poor idling and overrun stumbling associated with some BOVs on Rev1/2 cars. Planning to stick on a standard recirc valve.

I went back to a standard dump valve on my Rev2 after hearing the horrors of how bad it is and gettin a bit tired of the noise. Ive managed to get back better fuel economy and i hoped it would move my standard boost up from 8psi. but it didnt. :( From what i have heard though, it rarely seems they make full standard cos of bits being old etc, like the actuator etc.

I think im just gonna put my boost controller back on, can then either turn it up of set it to the standard.

well, checked for error codes and there was a piece of wire stuck in diagnostic plug, T1 & TC! ( i think ), while i was driving it !!! oops

never opened it before.

so i checked for fault codes and there wasnt any

took out the wire and went for a blat and it still only goes up to 0.4bar in every gear.

gonna try n get a timing gun and stick the wire back in, it just to check the timings all correct.
