My pics (from the other thread.:

Mainly of the MR2 Village. Which was easily the best display on there. It was a great job done by all the people involved!

Even the Hoff was at JAE. Unfortunatly he was no where to be seen at the time so I took a pic of KITT.

See the hoff doesnt even have a Jap car and STILL gets in to JAE

When he was driving around in the rain he got an awesome cheer from us in the MR2 Village! :D 8) :thumleft:[/quote]

a great event and drive out!

Post by Harry »

big thank you imoc people, =D>
really loved the event met super people
so many like minded passionate enthusiasts was
quite a treat. =D>

was quite exhausted with the leading weeks activaties
getting the two ready including hks super dragger exhaust
collection from yas at fleet service, fitting next day, rims collected
from colin at alloy magic with tyres fitted and fitted after running
around looking for spigots and 5mm spacers as recomended by bry.

the previous weeks was bodyshop, toms rear bumper, and each other
week a job or task here and there, ganador carbon mirrors, rookie wing,
toms side skirts, arc bumper splitters, border carbon bonnet.

the drive up from southampton was first class and after all the
rigmorale of setting up all the tuning was a relief and pleasure to just
hit the open road and only focus on driving.
loved the last 70 miles of road nearing the show.

night before was very excited with the final preperation, wash wax polish
and detail, prepare lunch and road travel picnic food, ensure all
bits and pack ready to go.
except that night or morning of saturday at 3am lightning strikes
and find myself jumping out of bed the place lit up,so nearly a good rest
nights sleep,nearly.

filled up the tank with optimax, fuel cleaner and a couple of units of
octane boost for peace of mind, .
and set off for the three hour odd drive.

the effort was all worth it and really tuned my mr2 enthusiasm which
was easy when chatting with franko, edwin, toni, gary"wraith",and
others too.

was expecting a bit of rain and with the lovely tropical heatwave
was going to be a relief except it was a hurricane and the fear of
a flood through my engine louvre and the prospects of a non starting
car made us decide to move it back home a couple of hours earlier than planned, though it felt like we had been there a full weekend it was
excellent.

driving back at very low speeds for the first twenty miles due to extreeme
wind and large amounts of water on road was wise, well except for hondas
and suburas looking to wipe out was expected as they raced through.lol
soon found the extreeme wind was messing up handling and put the lights away as they were the culprits making me bounce around and after that
it was fine, drove with driving lights only.

soon found we were driving away from the storm and pretty soon
after about 40 miles away were into good driving conditions and
really really let the hair down.

this was one fantastic drive home and reallly tested the suspension and
cars aerodynamic tuning, boy of boy was it a blast.

i was able to attack the road at any velocity with perfect handling
and could physically feel the g forces pushing the front and rear down.
the body kit with toms, border, arc splitters and rookie wing, even the
ganadors must have all been contributing. :-k
not to mention the carbon engine louvre smoothing the air over roof and
engine to wing.

the hks super dragger exhaust has dropped my boost from 1,273
to 1 bar but has opened up the mid range and now can hear all
engine turbo, bov and other sweet tunes and at full blast she sounded
arggh lovely and was fully responsive making this style of sports driving
good fun.

both ways we had traffic flowing in the other direction, spot on. :thumleft:
look forward to meeting up again.
was just about to finish the rounds of meeting all after a bit of lunch
and nap when the heavens let rip.

so sorry to have dashed off but really look forward to meeting the rest of the team soonest. :D

well done harry. :P

Looks better in the pics then in the flesh I have to say. I saw i drive passed and thought hmmmm the rear looks crap. In the pics, I had to look at it twice to make sure it was the same car  Defo not as good looking as in the flesh.

Thanks peeps,

Those are only a third of the ones I took over the weekend. I'll post the rest up tonight when I get home from work (including the ones of Enis  ).

Don't know if anyone noticed, but if you look at the pic of RedMR2's car, you can see his lovely pink handbag near the rear wheel.

Nice. :D

Good to meet you as well, thanks for helping put on the gazeebos, and for probably being the most photographed car on the stand with your legs stuck in the intake :)

That was a stunning car Harry and I hope you get the heat issue sorted out - you were considering some engine lid fans, hope you got to speak to someone with them fitted.

word from the Dutch delegation:

Just one word: Amazing

The ride over there was just a tad over 12 hours (including a trafficjam and an hour boat-delay), but it was worth it.

The guys at the imoc stand where so nice and friendly, it realy surprised me.

It was a great weekend (except for the little storm we had on saturday), cars where amazing and it was fun to see the mr2's from the board in real life.

There was just one thing I coulnd't understand, how in f*ck sake can you english people bbq at 9 am :S (even the idea makes my stomach turn) ;)

Will post some pics later today
