CONVOY TO JAE FRIDAY from South East, South West included

Guys,

Lets try and get a good convoy together for JAE this year. Convoys for other events have been a bit slack...

We should set up 2 or 3 meeting points along the way so we can gradually increase the convoy to silly numbers

I'm sure Thurrock services is one, Pease Pottage another, I'll be meeting some on the A3/M25 interchange at Junction 10 M25... we need somwhere on the A1 to all come together - hows about:

FRIDAY AT 14.30 MIDDAY at "South Mimms" services on the M25/A1 interchange, just off M25 Junction 23

I normally try to leave early on Friday morning as I'm coming from South Wales.

We got there last year at around 2pm and it was just about right. Decent camping, loads of space before all the rest of the rabble arrive

Same again this year I guess.

Can you get to the A3/M25 interchange? There is a long lay-by there that I'm meeting others at.... if there's too many we may have to find a different location! If you're coming from the A31 and onto A3 turn off at the M25 junction, go all the way around the roundabout so you are coming back on yourself back onto the A3, about 500m along the slip road from the roundabout is a lay-by. There's always the BP garage on the A3 (North bound carriageway), there's some parking behind the garage IIRC. I'll be coming up from near Petersfield.

The BP is Northbound like Limeymk1 says, so you'd need to be coming from Guildford direction towards M25.
