TV Headunit Question

Can anyone tell me if this headunit will allow me to have in car TV without having to buy any extras?

It says built in TV tuner but im not sure this is all you need, anyone help?

You might need an aerial but thats about it.

no you cant get tv on this. you can get an aerial but wont work. You need a freeview digi box connected to it really to get tv on it.

That unit looks similar to the Ripspeed one halfords are selling at the moment

In regards to the freeview box, there is loads on ebay around £60, not sure if they are any good though

How come it says built in tuner then? It clearly states that its all in one with a built in TV tuner.

Mine has a built in tuner and all i needed was an aerial.

If it's coming from the U.S don't they use different frequencies for tv reception? - iirc parts of europe use secam and we use pal

This is a multiregion system for DVD anyway. It plays UK DVDs.

it does actually say on the specs list that it is: PAL/NTSC System

Japan uses NTSC too though, same as the US ?

True so I guess that one was either designated for export to the uk or most likely from Hong kong

it does actually say on the specs list that it is: [n]PAL/NTSC System[/b]

It doesn't say that about the tuner though, safer to assume that it's refering to outputing the picture to either pal or ntsc.
